Harnessing the potentials for cross-faculty artificial intelligence research, education and innovation
UCPH AI is a new strategic initiative coordinating the University’s AI research, education, and innovation activities, with the ambition to strengthen UCPH’s position as a hub for foundational AI research and the responsible application of AI within scientific and societal domains.
As such, the initiative aims both to foster internal collaboration across faculties and administrative units, and to serve as a gateway for external stakeholders — from businesses to research communities, public institutions, and policymakers.
At the heart of UCPH AI is a Steering Committee comprising 12 professors from the five faculties and two administrative leaders, who have been appointed for a two‑year period based on professional expertise and personal commitment. A Chair (Prof. Morten Axel Pedersen) and a Deputy Chair (Prof. Isabelle Augenstein), appointed from within the Steering Committee, have the overarching responsibility for the initiative.
