New Natural Language Processing (NLP) Seminar Series
On 28 September 2018, the first of six invited talks in the new NLP Seminar Series will take place. The Seminar Series will bring together local researchers and industry practitioners with an interest in NLP and diverse backgrounds in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Linguistics and Cognitive Science.
- The seminar series will continue the successful Copenhagen NLP meetup, but extend the format with more events organised around it to encourage collective ideas generation and future collaborations within Centre for Communication and Computing (CCC) and beyond. By having frequent and regular events, this will continue to strengthen Copenhagen’s position as a European hub for Natural Language Processing, says organiser Isabelle Augenstein, Tenure-track Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science, UCPH.
The talks will be given by high-profile speakers from European universities along with networking events and 1-1 meetings organised around it. The talks and the networking events with drinks and snacks directly after the talk will be open to the general public, whereas the 1-1 meetings will be an opportunity for CCC researchers to exchange ideas and form new collaborations.
The Seminar Series is supported by a CCC-grant for activities bringing together researchers with an interest in current issues on the nexus between digital technologies and how people interact with such technologies in their everyday lives.
